Many things happened since my last message here. In May, my aunt died unexpectacly when we were on family visit in the USA. I came back to Holland to take care of a lot of funeral arrangements while Leslie stayed in het mom's house to take care of a daily routine there. After the funeral I was invited to go sailing to England with my friend for a week. While on board, I got a message from leslie that her mom unexpectatly died as well. So from the bow of the sailboat and just a mobile phone in my hand, I arranged an ASAP flight towards the USA again where I did arrive in time for the funeral and the already planned family reunion that still went on. So I can sincerely say that the months May and June were "kind of hectic". I flwe back to Holland at the end of June and Leslie came back just after independance day at the 5th of July. July was a month to relax as much as possible next to our jobs and now, next week I will go with a group of people from work towards the Italian and French Alps to climb Mont Blanc! Over the months, I did train a lot for this as I do realise that I am over 50 already haha. Anyhow, the group is very motivated and I think it should be a fun trip with hopefully some highligt at 4810 meter! So good to hear you Frans, even if it is sad news in parts, but that is the way 'at our age'.. I will join you at 50 in September..perhaps time for me yet to be the energetic one!!
